Wehinahpay Mountain Camp is seeking qualified and motivated individuals to teach campers a variety of merit badges and other educational and informative programs during a camp week.

While the Boy Scouts of America and the camp provides materials, it is important to the instructor to be creative, sensible, and sensitive to the young Scouts they teach. Each program area will teach different materials, examples of which may be found in the description of each program staff description. Program details are generally decided by the spring. Staff members who work in areas not teaching program, i.e. dining services and the trading post similarly must work to be creative, sensible, and sensitive to the customers in camp.

Before camp begins, a 'staff week' is required where staff are caught up on BSA methods, procedures, safety, handling of difficulties, and of course: learning camp songs! Each week, a new group of campers will arrive on Sunday and depart on Saturday. Staff will have some other duties (outlined elsewhere) in addition to the area they will be working in as well as the maintenance of BSA dress and deportment during camp days. Food, lodging, and some uniform items are provided.
