For most Boy Scout troops that would travel to Wehinahapay from north or west Texas, Carlsbad Caverns should be considered as a stop along the way. Located just south of Carlsbad, NM, this site is just over two hours from Wehinahpay. Overnight accommodations can be arranged at Dowling Aquatic Base, another Conquistador Council camp located in the heart of Carlsbad, New Mexico.
