Scouts will learn about safety, parts of a horse, and different breeds. Most importantly, they will get to ride a horse!

COPE

Specialty Programs

Standing for Challenging Outdoor Physical Experience, COPE is a great adventure for your older Scouts. They will learn teamwork as adrenaline courses through their veins. Part of this course takes place on the ground and part takes place on our new High Adventure Park 30 feet in the air!

ATV RIDING

Specialty Program

This class is a boot camp that will teach you everything you will need to know about riding and maintaining an ATV. This course will certify you in basic ATV Ridercourse from the National ATV Safety Institute. Leaders are welcome to participate but must sign up.

Because of the rough conditions, riders will be required to wear long sleeve shirts, boots, and long pants. They will be sent back to camp if they don't.

TRAIL TO FIRST CLASS

Specialty Program

This class is for those brand new to Scouting. We will be covering requirements from Scout Rank all the way up to First Class, primarily focusing on the lower ranks. This is a great place to get hard requirements like a five mile hike done.

WELDING

Specialty Programs

More goes into welding than just sticking two pieces of metal together! In this class you will learn all about the different types of welding machines and will learn several different types of welds.

Because of sparks and hot metal, welders will be required to wear long sleeve shirts, boots, and long pants.

MOUNTAIN MAN

Specialty Program

Many people from across the nation come to Wehinahpay just to do this program! Learn the art of knife and sheath making, get good at throwing tomahawks, and shoot some black powder rifles. This class is worth every minute. Leaders are welcome to participate but must sign up.
