ADULT LEADER FORUM

Whether it's offering a Merit Badge at your home unit or advising a future Eagle Scout, a mentor is by far the most impactful role an Adult Leader can play. There are some aspects of advancement that may feel like a chore not only to the scout, but to the Adult Leader as well. WILDERNESS MEDICAL TRAINING FOR LEADERS

Designed for scouts and scout leaders, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who works or spends time in remote environments, this course teaches advanced skills to be used in emergencies when help from professional first responders may be far away. This course aligns with OSHA’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs

 

If you plan on being an adult leader for a High Adventure Trek or other event, this is a great training to have and this Certification is often required. Rather than taking time off to travel to and pay for another course, take the training at Wehinahpay while your here with your Unit!

Camper Preparing Meal

Leave No Trace Trainer

We are proud to offer a Leave No Trace Trainer course to Adult Leaders. This two-day training taught by Master Educators on Wehinahpay Staff. Trainer courses are designed to help participants better understand and teach Leave No Trace skills and ethics so you're able to take this information back home to your Unit. Get certified to teach BSA Leave No Trace 101 and sign off on Second Class and First Class rank requirements and Venturing Outdoor Bronze and Ranger Award requirements.
